'Tis the season to dive into reading! It's time to renew your TD Summer Reading Club membership. Pick up your free notebook at your local branch starting Saturday, June 20. Check out other Summer Wonder activities while you're there!
First time joining the Club? You can participate anywhere and anytime, and you can read anything you want! Come to the library and tell us about what you read to earn cute stickers. Or sign up online to create an online notebook, get badges and write reviews.
Did you know? Notebooks are available in accessible formats, like audio, braille and OpenDyslexic font.
The Club is bilingual! Check out the French website or take the French Reading Challenge. For each book you read, fill out a ballot at your library. Each ballot is entered into our end-of-summer draw for a prize pack. The more you read, the more chances you have to win, so lisez en français cet été!
Did you know? If you're taking the TPL Reading Challenge, you can count books you read for the Club as well.
If you like the jokes and trivia here on TPL Kids, you can get more on the TDSRC website, along with printable colouring sheets, silly stories, a web comic and more. Don't forget to vote in the Battle of the Books! At the end of the summer, one book will be crowned as the champion. Last year, Grounded took home the title. Which book will win this year? You decide!
Taking a StoryWalk® is another fun activity you can do with your family. Stroll around outside of a library and enjoy reading a story on big poster-sized pages. The book this year is Colette, the Solitary Bee. Available at 18 different locations in Toronto!
Did you know? If you have a younger sibling, they can join the Club, too!
Enough chitchat, it's time to weigh anchor and sail away into summer reading adventures. Books ahoy!
