Reading Challenge 2023: A Book Written by an Indigenous Author Age 30 or Younger

Not all writers publicly share how old they are, so this Reading Challenge category might be a bit tough. Try looking up a book on the library website. Sometimes you'll see an author's year of birth shown next to their name or in the Author Notes section. Do you know how to figure out someone's age if you know the year they were born?

Authors might mention their age in the short biography on their book jacket, or maybe on their website. You can ask your librarian for help finding information online. But don't worry about it too much — it's okay to be flexible with all Reading Challenge categories. You could read a book written by an Indigenous author currently under the age of 30, or who was under 30 when they wrote it. A book co-written by a kid also counts!
