Join the 2024 TD Summer Reading Club!

Explore the fun of reading your way! Read on a picnic blanket or a ferryboat, in a treehouse or a pillow fort, on the subway or a camel's back. (We would suggest paying attention to where the camel is taking you, though.) Read comic books, ebooks, audiobooks, books with 500 pages, books with glow-in-the-dark covers. One of the best things about the TD Summer Reading Club is that you can read anywhere and anything.

Starting June 22, join Canada's biggest bilingual summer reading program for kids! You can:

Saturn.png Get a free notebook when you sign up at your local library. Collect stickers for your notebook when you tell us about all the books you read. (The notebooks are also available in accessible formats! Find them in audio, braille, large print and OpenDyslexic font.)

Saturn.png Register online on the TDSRC website. Design your own avatar, get badges, write reviews and stories, read web comics and so much more! And if you love the jokes and trivia here on TPL Kids, you can look for more on the Club site.

Saturn.png Tell a grown-up about the Beanstack Tracker app. Use this app to keep track of your reading and complete fun challenges.

Saturn.png Take the French Reading Challenge for a chance to win a prize pack. For each book you read, fill out this online form or a ballot at your library. Each ballot is entered into our end-of-summer draw. The more you read, the more chances you have to win, so lisez en français cet été!

Saturn.png Take a StoryWalk®. Stroll around outside of a library while reading a book from one page to the next. You can try this out at the 28 branches listed here. This year's book is The Darkest Dark by Chris Hadfield and the Fan Brothers.

The Darkest Dark by Chris Hadfield, Kate Fillion, Eric Fan and Terry Fan

Saturn.png Vote in the Battle of the Books every week! At the end of the summer, kids across Canada will crown one book as the champion. Last year, readers picked Elvis, Me, and the Lemonade Stand Summer by Leslie Gentile as the winner. Which book will reign supreme this year? You decide!

Ready. Set. Read! And we'll see you at a Summer Wonder program in the library. Magic shows, drama camp, fun with Lego, science with Skittles and so much more!
