Comics! Magic! Puppets! Plus… robots and big cats? You read that right. We have lots of exciting activities and programs for you all summer long. And guess what? They're all free! So come to your local library to explore, discover new interests and learn something cool.
A TPL Kids visitor sent us a question: "Is Summer Wonder really going to be fun?" You bet! Here are all the ways you and your family can participate from June 24 to September 2:
1. Sign up for the TD Summer Reading Club online or at your library. Whatever you're into, we've got a book about it! Dinosaurs, space, gods and goddesses of ancient Mesopotamia, you name it.
2. Get the Beanstack reading app. You can keep track of all the books you read while completing fun challenges and earning badges. If you sign up for the TDSRC challenge between June 24 and July 31, you can enter a contest to win a wonder-full prize pack! Tell a grown-up to get Beanstack today!
3. Curious about something? Ask our Wonder Wall and learn a new fact that other kids wondered about.
4. Qu'est-ce que tu lis en français cet été? Take the French Reading Challenge!
5. Create dioramas, make music or perform magic at an arts workshop.
6. Meet talented authors and illustrators and get tips on how to craft your own stories.
7. Join a day camp at the library, where you'll build Lego worlds, put on a play, or code with robots.
8. Check out a French program: writers and storytellers, music and puppets, even bath bombs!
9. Make a kaleidoscope, meet furry (and scaly) friends or learn about rocket ships at a STEM program.
10. Design something unique at a Wonder Workshop. Will you invent a machine to harness the wind or fly to Mars?
11. Watch online videos anytime on our Crowdcast and YouTube channels.
We hope you have a blast this summer and make wonderful memories with your family and friends. See you at the library, and keep visiting TPL Kids!
