People move to new countries for different reasons. Sometimes they are forced to leave their home and look for another one, where they can be safe from dangers like war, violence and disasters. This happens all over the world, throughout history, today, right now. Maybe this is something your family experienced, or you know someone who had to escape. Reading and sharing the stories of refugees can help us understand more about the world, and give us ideas about how to make it a kinder place.
Are you and your family new to Toronto? Welcome! Do you have friends or classmates who recently arrived from another country? Tell them welcome from us!
