Branch Art Exhibits: Midtown Toronto's Largest Green Space
David A. Balfour Park and Rosehill Reservoir have re-opened after more than four years of construction and a cost of about $35 million. The reservoir supplies drinking water to many Toronto residents. This exhibit, by Ian Darragh, takes us on a photographic journey that explores this 20-acre urban oasis.
This exhibit is part of TPL'S Art Exhibit Space program. Toronto Public Library provides space for local artists to exhibit their work at locations across the city. These exhibits aim to reflect the diverse cultural interests of the city and its neighbourhoods.
The exhibit can be viewed during open hours. Please check the Deer Park branch page before your visit.
Free. All are welcome.

Branch Art Exhibit: Steve Khan - SHAME IS FOR BEGINNERS
Throughout June, artist Steve's Khan work is on display at North York Central Library branch. The exhibit is called: SHAME IS FOR BEGINNERS.
"It is a series of self-portraits that playfully reclaims words that have traditionally been
used as slurs to describe gay men, adopting them to become fabulous armations and badges of honour. This process includes self-mockery, campy
depictions and pastiche."

Pyjama Time

The Pyjama Time program will have bedtime stories, songs, rhymes and activities for children ages five and under with their parents or caregivers.
Location at Children's Area-Front.
It is an in-person and drop-in program. Registration is not required, but space in-branch may be limited.

Join us for a special Rainbow Storytime where we celebrate all children and families! This Storytime will include a range of inclusive books, stories, songs, and rhymes that foster acceptance, embrace diversity, and help get kids ready for reading! This program is suitable for children 5 years and under with a parent or caregiver.

Journey Through A Beloved Green Space
2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Rosehill Reservoir, located in the David A. Balfour Park and just redesigned at a cost of $35 million, is critical in providing drinking water to residents of midtown Toronto. Join local photojournalist Ian Darragh for an illustrated talk celebrating this revitalized project. You will learn about the role of urban parks, local history, and how the reservoir helped reduce outbreaks of typhoid and other waterborne diseases. This presentation coincides with TPL'S Art Exhibit Space program. about Rosehill Reservoir and David A. Balfour Park.
