Knitting Club

Learn to knit at the Black Creek Library. Needles and yarn will be provided for class use. Know how to knit? Bring your projects to work on with the group.

EarlyOn Child and Family Program

Early ON Child & Family program enhances parents, and caregivers? parenting skills in stages of child development, nutritional needs, health and safety and family communication. They also afford the children an opportunity to play and learn in a safe and nurturing environment. Geared towards parents and caregivers with children between the ages of 0 ? 6
This kindergarten readiness program has proven to be successful in providing a much smoother integration process into school.
Toddler Time
10:00 AM to 10:30 AM
Stories, songs, rhymes and activities for children ages 19 months to 3 years with their parents or caregivers.
Drop in, no registration required.
Participants will be capped at the first 30 families.

Career Crossroads for Newcomers: Employment or Entrepreneurship?
7:00 PM to 8:00 PM
This workshop is designed for newcomers to Canada who are considering entrepreneurship but unsure if it's the right path for them. Throughout the session, participants will explore the key traits of successful entrepreneurs and reflect on their potential to adopt these traits. The workshop also provides a safe space for newcomers to discuss the challenges and fears of pursuing an entrepreneurial career in Canada.

Together Time with ACSA (EarlyON)
4:30 PM to 6:30 PM
This program offers opportunities for caregivers and families to come with their children and enjoy a range of programs and activities. There will be a variety of programs including arts and crafts, physical and sensory activities for development and relaxation, school readiness activities, circle time with songs and stories, nature exploration and healthy snacks. This program is co-sponsored with Agincourt Community Services Association.

Wish You Were Here! Guided Exhibition Tour

Postcards are popular among collectors. We suspect you might just have one or two on your fridge at home! We took a look through our more than 26,500 postcards in TPL Special Collections, and pulled out some of our favourites. Our collection focuses mainly on Toronto, of course, but the collection includes cards from all over Canada and some are made of unusual materials.
Free guided tours will take place on Tuesdays at 3:00pm during the exhibition run. No registration required for the tour. Please meet at the entrance of the TD Gallery which is on the first floor of the Toronto Reference Library to the right of the elevators.
