Volunteer Toronto: How to Become a Volunteer for Newcomers

6:30 PM to 7:30 PM

In collaboration with Volunteer Toronto, discover how to safely get involved as a volunteer. Learn where to search for opportunities and how to find the best match for your needs and goals - including volunteering virtually from home, or in person with a group or organization.

You will also discover thousands of free online resources through the Toronto Public Library to help you learn more about the city, make community connections, and access other helpful support services. This session is great for newcomers and anyone who wants to make a positive impact on our city, or improve or learn new skills.

Please note: You will not receive volunteer hours for attending this session.

Intro to 3D Printing

6:00 PM to 7:00 PM

Learn how 3D printers work and how you can print at the Toronto Public Library?s Digital Innovation Hubs. This class includes hands-on instruction with Prusa Slicer, the software used to prepare your 3D object file for printing on a Prusa MK3S printer.

Class instruction includes:

* How to prepare a 3D design file for print
* How to use the equipment properly and safely
* A review of the rules and guidelines for using the 3D printer
** Registration opens 2 weeks prior to class

Starry Night Story Time

6:15 PM to 7:00 PM

Get ready for bed with us! Wear your pajamas, bring your favourite stuffie or blanket and join us for bedtime stories, calming songs and rhymes and relaxing crafts.

Applefun Puppetry presents The Purple Pirate

2:00 PM to 3:00 PM

Puppet show adventure on the high sea! Join the chase for the
Great Purple Whale. Applefun Puppetry presents this 45-minute
interactive program. Afterwards, everyone learns how to make a
paper puppet to take home.

Limit of 50 children. Tickets will be handed out 30 minutes before the start of the program.

A prize will be rewarded by random draw at the end of the program.

The Amazing Magic Show

2:00 PM to 2:45 PM

Find your ?inner magic" with Magic Mel during this upbeat, hilarious, and interactive magical experience. Expect a healthy dose of participation, positivity and self-empowerment as she leads aspiring magicians of all ages on a journey to become "Real Magicians" during this fast-paced, *feel good* magic show! Space is limited. Tickets will be issued 30 minutes prior to the start time.
