Branch Art Exhibit: Works by Sar Wagman
Invalid DateTime to Invalid DateTime
Throughout June, artist Sar Wagman?s work is on display at Oakwood Village Library and Arts Centre. Largely inspired by their disabled, lesbian, and Jewish-Indo Trinidadian identity, Sar challenges viewers to consider how life intertwines with nature, confronting issues such as sustainability and the transformation of the body under the pressures of life. Their art provides an avenue of expression to help advance sustainability, eco diversity and amplify the often unrecognized voices of diverse bodies, exploring possibilities for how we live our lives in and with nature.
Sar is a Toronto-based artist and community arts worker who works in cross-disciplinary mediums. They are driven by a passion for art, sustainability, and inclusion. Sar holds an Bachelor of Fine Arts from OCAD University in Life Studies.
This exhibit is part of TPL's Art Exhibit Space program. Toronto Public Library provides space for local artists to exhibit their work at locations across the city. These exhibits aim to reflect the diverse cultural interests of the city and its neighbourhoods.
