Hip-hop History

Join Marcus 'iomos marad' Singleton, hip-hop artist, scholar, and educator, on this exploration of the roots and foundations of Hip-Hop history. Uncover the transformative influence of African-American and Afro-Caribbean/Latino Deejaying, musical traditions, street art, and block parties. Learn and explore the differences between Rap and Hip-Hop culture, and discover how Hip-Hop became a powerful platform for expression, activism, and community building.
Marcus is the Hip-Hop Education Community Connector at University of Toronto Hart House, and is a member of the Roots and Rhymes Collective.

Indigenous Language Child & Family EarlyON Programs

Native Canadian Centre of Toronto's Mobile Indigenous EarlyON teaches Indigenous culture and language to the Toronto community through crafts, songs, stories, and more.
Last Monday of every month.
For children aged 0-6 years old and their families. This program is intended for Indigenous families and non-Indigenous families who are open to learning about Indigenous cultures.
