Gardener in Residence: Petals and Pollinators
1:00 PM to 2:00 PM
What makes a flower bloom-and who's it blooming for? In this hands-on springtime workshop, kids will explore the fascinating parts of a flower up close, learning how petals, stamens, and pistils all work together to invite pollinators like bees. We'll talk about the importance of native plants and the vital role they play in supporting our local ecosystem. Then, get your hands dirty planting seeds to take home and crafting your very own flower to remember what you've learned.
Drop-in; no registration required. For children ages 0-8 with their parents or caregivers.
Generously supported by by Adrian and Ange Rocca.
