Gardener in Residence: Petals and Pollinators

1:00 PM to 2:00 PM

What makes a flower bloom-and who's it blooming for? In this hands-on springtime workshop, kids will explore the fascinating parts of a flower up close, learning how petals, stamens, and pistils all work together to invite pollinators like bees. We'll talk about the importance of native plants and the vital role they play in supporting our local ecosystem. Then, get your hands dirty planting seeds to take home and crafting your very own flower to remember what you've learned.

Drop-in; no registration required. For children ages 0-8 with their parents or caregivers.

Drop in 3D paint

Join us at the Albion Digital Innovation Hub for a fun hour of painting! In this drop-in 3D painting workshop, you will learn more about our 3D printers here at the library as you enjoy a creative afternoon painting models. This is a Drop-in Program.

Introduction to 3D Printing

Learn how 3D printers work and how you can print at the Toronto Public Library?s Digital Innovation Hubs. This class includes hands-on instruction with Prusa Slicer, the software used to prepare your 3D object file for printing on a Prusa MK3S printer. This is a drop-in program.
