Rhyme: Humpty Dumpty

Related to: Hearing Words, Sing

Rhymes with narratives help your child understand how stories work, that stories have a beginning, a middle and an end, is key to reading comprehension.

Humpty Dumpty sat on a wall.
Humpty Dumpty had a great fall.
All the king’s horses,
And all the king’s men,
Couldn’t put Humpty together again.

Do not weep and worry.
Do not cry for him I beg.
For though he is not mended,
He's a happy scrambled egg.
