Fingerplay: The Eensy Weensy Spider

Related to: Hearing Words, Play

Fingerplays are fun to do over and over again. Repeating a fingerplay with your child is comforting and builds self-confidence. Children are more likely to sing along when they are familiar with the fingerplay.

The eensy weensy spider
Climbed up the water spout. (Crawl fingers upward)
Down came the rain (Wiggle fingers down)
And washed the spider out. (Brush hands to side)

Out came the sun (Circle arms above head)
And dried up all the rain.
And the eensy weensy spider (Crawl fingers up again)
Climbed up the spout again.
