Fingerplay: Jack and Jill

Related to: Hearing Words, Play

Fingerplays help introduce your child to new words. Some fingerplays also help develop narrative skills including the ability to tell events in order; to tell and retell stories.

Jack and Jill went up the hill
To fetch a pail of water. (crawl fingers upwards on the baby's arm)
Jack fell down (swoop one finger down)
And broke his crown
And Jill came tumbling after. (swoop other finger down)
