Fingerplay: Criss Cross Applesauce

Related to: Hearing Words, Play

Fingerplays help teach your baby many new words that your baby may not hear in everyday conversation. Fingerplays can also be sung without actions.

Criss Cross (Draw X on baby’s back)
Applesauce (Tap shoulders 3 times)
Spiders climbing up your back (Tickle baby’s back)

Cool breeze (Blow on baby’s neck)
Tight squeeze (Give baby a hug)
Now you’ve got the shivers! (Tickle all over)
