With the warmer temperatures upon us, it seems timely to answer a question that’s related to temperatures. This week a TPL Kids visitor wants to know how hot the sun is.
According to Encyclopedia Britannica, the surface temperature of the sun is 5,800 Kelvins (or 5526.85 Celsius). However, the centre is much hotter measuring 15,000,000 Kelvins (or 14,999,726.85 Celsius).
Needless to say, the sun is a truly hot spot.
