Since there are several large manufacturers of commercial aircraft and many different models, we’re going to focus on one of the most popular long-range aircrafts, Boeing’s 777.
A 2012 article in Seattle PI discovered that it takes Boeing about 53 days from receiving the first part to finishing the paint job. This is followed by about 30 days of flights and testing to ensure its ready.
